Let me also take this opportunity to thank the SC State Association, Inc. for your support, participation, and encouragement as we continue to move South Carolina to another level.   

We are very pleased with the progress we have made this past year, especially with re-organizing our internal systems, implementing our revised by-laws, providing scholarship opportunities and statewide training institutes. This year we are proud of our State, Regional and National Award winners.   

As Head Start is redefined, the South Carolina State Head Start Association will continue to be at the forefront of providing strong support across the state.  Over this next year, we will be working very hard on strengthening the following efforts:

•  Membership and available opportunities individually & program wide,

   

• Child Advocacy Fun (CAF) 100%@ $5.00=$64,000,

   

• Training & Technical Assistance opportunities for local Head Start Programs,

   

• Professional Development Scholarship opportunities for Head Start staff,

   

• Development & Implementation of our State’s web-site to support “real-time” gathering of data,

   

• Coordination & Implementation of a State MOA pertaining to Disability Services in SC as well as our MOA with DSS pertaining to ABC Childcare Vouchers,

   

• Revisions to our Strategic Plan,

   

• Statewide Marketing efforts, and

   

• Increase on-going revenue.
